William "Bill" C. Kelner - 1932 to Sep 2008

Kelner, William C. 76, of Grand Rapids, MN, formerly of Mounds View, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born June 6, 1932 in St. Paul to John and Corinne Kelner.

Bill, a member of the Natural Propane Gas Association, launched his 55 year career in the propane/ natural gas industry at Minnegasco where he worked for 20 years. From there Bill worked as Assistant Vice President of Training and Safety for Pennsylvania Gas and Water, a Consulting Engineer for Bermuda Gas & Utility, and owner/operator of Gasco of Grand Rapids. Bill proudly served in the Army in the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara; children, Michael (Caroline), Vicki (Joseph) Domeier, Lisa (Drew) Davis, Ronald, Jean (James) Ringold, and Janis (Paul) Kelner-Wassmund; grandchildren, Christopher (Jenna) Law, Zackary, Chelsea, Haven, Kathryn, Alexandra, Nicholas, Francesca, Emily, James, Nathan, and Samuel.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Service on Wednesday. Libbey Funeral Home – 218-326-4000
