The Chodove People

Well, let me tell you, I am digging way back in my mind to a day when Uncle Ed came to visit. With him he brought some books about the Mikolas family ancestors. It was a bit intriguing as I had just learned of my own ancestors.

Now, anyone who has gotten into the family history thing, even a little bit, will understand the phrase "bitten by the genealogy bug". If not, and you are at this site, you will! Understanding one's history is fun, but learning your family history and information about the history of the areas they are from becomes very addicting. VERY!

We talked it over and decided that we would take the family information and place it online for all to see. We figured it couldn't be all that hard, why not. We build websites for a living.

It soon became clear, as the vast amounts of information started getting handed down to us, that we were in for a big and very technical site. We wanted the family to be able to interact and be able to learn about their history.

So, way back in January of 2003, the ChodovePeople website began. It looked like this by April of that year:
