March 19, 2009 - Thursday

Today is a wonderful day in our lives. A dream come true kind of day for Paulette, as she has always been awaiting this day in her life. Today, the Belgians arrive.

Greg and Paulette spent the morning putting up a fence for the newest forever arrivals. Two of the three coming today were PMU mares and the other one is an offspring of one of them. They have been out in pasture for a long time and were the last of the 200+ herd that Jason had. They were considered his pets and he grew up with the mother mare as her own mother died giving birth to her. She was considered the familiy pet and hung out in the yard like a loyal dog waiting to play.

Jason and his father arrived just after dinner. A long morning for them as they loaded up and drove out from Kennedy, SK.
It was a very quick process for Jason and his Dad to pull up to the gate and unload the beautiful girls. The distinct sound of them moving is one I will never forget. Its like knowing there is an elephant behind you and not a dog. The hugeness of them is apparent the moment they start moving.

The girls had a bunch of fun tromping through the snow as it had yet to be packed down and there were numerous drifts and such for them to play in.

A Beautiful site to see!

THANK YOU JASON & FAMILY!
