SCHENTAG_Marjorie, Marion, It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of Marjorie Marion Schentag of Esterhazy, SK., born on September 8th, 1928 in Spy Hill, Sk. Marge died suddenly in her home on December 22, 2004. At an early age, her family moved to Gerald, where she attended elementary school, later graduating from high school in Spy Hill. After graduating Marjorie took a business course in Winnipeg, then moved back to Gerald and for two years assumed a position as interm teacher at Little Gerald School. In 1952, Marge married Emil Schentag and together they celebrated over 50 years of marriage. Emil and Marge resided in Regina for a number of years before moving back to Esterhazy in 1963. Marge enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her home, which included preparing delicious home cooked meals. She also enjoyed curling and golfing and took great pride and pleasure in spectating at family activities and sporting events. Marge and Emil loved to travel throughout North America and spent many winter months in their motor home in Mesa, Arizona. They were also able to travel back to their homeland, Czechoslovakia, to visit relatives. But, of course, Marjorie's family, friends, and faith in God were what she cherished most. Marjorie is predeceased by her husband: Emil, parents: John and Annie Hruska and brother: Larry. She is survived by her three sons: Lorne (Melinda), Greg (Lori), and Randy (Trish), as well as nine grandchildren. Also, sister: Adele, and brother: Alfonse. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, December 28th at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Esterhazy, SK. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29th, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Esterhazy, SK. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund, Esterhazy, Sk. in memory of Marjorie Schentag as tokens of remembrance.
